A while back, we shared a goofy party activity where we created a modern day fun house like the old school curved mirrors. Today, we found out about a completely different type of fun house device, called a speech jammer! Basically, it repeats your own speech back to you, which confuses your brain and has a fun side effect of making it really hard to talk. So try setting this up at your community event and record residents trying to speak while it is “jamming” their speech! Hand out bingo cards to your residents or have them available in the office for pick up for those who would like to participate. Then, everyday, post a number on Facebook or mass email the bingo numbers, or post them somewhere where residents would see them (maybe close to the mailboxes). When someone gets a BINGO, give out small door prizes or any other awards that you feel are appropriate. This is a great way to get people involved in your community. By having them utilize your Facebook Page for a game, they will also have access to it for other events and notifications you plan to post. Talk about reaching out to all women! The single that want to impress their significant and the moms looking for the quick meals! This is a hit and you can do it as small or as large as you want. Hire a professional, contact your local Cooking or Culinary School - they are always looking for audiences to place their students in front of, or just have a resident prepare their favorite dinner each week/month. Just in time for Valentine's Day! Have a kid painting/drawing party - kids come into the office and all the coloring supplies are there. They can draw a picture of "why they love living at ABC apartments". You then can either frame those photos and use them for a mini-model - put on easels in every room, call is the "Why our mini-resident love it here model". Or if you have them draw on 11 X 17 pieces of paper you can scan them and load into a calendar. One photo on each page with the child's name and age.
