Who doesn’t love a good game of UNO or Trivial Pursuit? Encourage some friendly competition by hosting a board game night in your community room (or outdoors if the weather cooperates). You can provide drinks and snacks, or, if your budget is tight, have a potluck and encourage residents to bring a dish to share.

It's been a long winter and your residents are probably ready to get outside and soak up some sun! Why not give them an opportunity to get out and enjoy the beautiful outdoor amenities you work so hard on all year long! How about partnering with a local photographer...maybe one of your residents is a photographer, you get the idea! And extend the invitation to take advantage of your amazing backdrop with some priceless family photos. Residents can take their own shots or schedule a personal photo shoot with the photographer (and then purchase the photos if they like them.) It's a great opportunity for the photographer to earn some business and the residents don't have to go far for something special! And the price is right for your budget! Have your residents pick up a coloring page at your leasing office beginning April 1st which is when rent is due. The children’s age groups will be classified at 4-6 yrs., 7-9 yrs. and 10-12 yrs. If you plan on having an Easter party winners can be announced on that day. You don’t have to be in New Orleans to get ready for Mardi Gras. With the iconic masks, beads, food, and music, any Mardi Gras celebration is sure to be a blast. Creating your Mardi Gras crafts while enjoying some traditional kings cake can be fun for everyone! With a paper plate and some craft supplies, you and your residents can make some very festive masks for Mardi Gras. You can use some supplies such as glitter paint, gems, some paper flowers and even some gold buttons. You could use whatever supplies you have on hand. Most of you have seen domino chains where dominos are lined up one after the other into long lines and designs. Knocking down the first domino then knocks down the second, third, etc until the whole series is down. Lots of fun as a kid, and a great activity in its own right! But what you may not be familiar with is a similar concept using Popsicle sticks! (NOTE: After researching for a while, we have heard that tongue depressors are actually better for this, so we’ll go with tongue depressors from here on out).
