We participate in our Back to School Program supporting children in Chicagoland and securing their future. We buy their school supply list for them. We invite our residents to also help out with these donations.

For the month of April, we collect all old books from our residents. On May 1st we donate the books to our local public library.

Every year we have a Champagne Brunch for our residents. Breakfast is cooked by the staff and served with Champagne. This is a great way to spoil your residents. Food that was provided: eggs, pancakes, toast, bagels, muffins, fruit and more. Drinks included: Champagne, OJ, Mike, Apple Juice and more.

Every year around Thanksgiving we have a Bake Off. Residents will bring in the best baked goods. Everyone will taste everyone elses Baked Goods. Who every is voted to have the best bake food, wins a new stove for their apartment. This is a great way to learn desserts for the biggest fest of the year.

Invite all residents to a local bowling alley. We pay for 3 hours of bowling. This includes pizza for dinner and sodas.

Summer Luau party invites all resident and their friends and family. Each year at least 250 people attend. Lunch, desserts, and all drinks are provided for everyone. Over 50 raffle prizes for all ages to win. Games inlcude: bags, water balloon toss, volleyball, pool games, and more.

In an era when all of us want to live a little “greener” but may not have a naturally green thumb, this class will offer the perfect opportunity for your apartment residents to learn the basics of gardening in an urban setting. An instructor will provide a brief lecture on choosing the best native plants for your unique climate and show how to plant them in containers so they can be enjoyed on a patio or balcony. This class can cover both decorative plants and vegetable gardening. After the presentation, invite attendees to put their newfound knowledge into practice by providing supplies for them to pot their first plant for their own apartment.

Start by letting all residents and local bussiness know that you are going to be hosting a care package event to support the troops. Have those donate from a list things that are needed to our soldiers. Have a community event with local bussineess that you have networked with and have them set up a booth and bring donated prizes to raffel off as people bring their care packages (you can also do this with your vendors). Also, can have games, ect and charge a $1 all procedes go to the delivery of the care packages. Have your staff dress up in military attire. You can do this with any charitable event. Outside marketing will bring in other community residents.

Send out your monthly newsletter advertise the BINGO game on your facebook, twitter, etc. Have them come to the office to pick up their unique BINGO card. As they follow you and/or log in daily to these sites you post the numbers drawn daily if they have it on their card they mark it off once they have a BINGO they call or come by the office to pick up their winnings. This does several things gets them active in the community, creates participitation and gets them on your social networks to read whats happening at your community.

We provided hotdogs (on the grill), buns, all the condiments, baked beans and different chip varieties. We asked residents to bring salads. The turnout was fabulous. Our groundskeeper grilled the dogs and the office staff did the rest.
