Let's Make A Deal Apartment Marketing Event
In a moment of inspiration today, I thought about the TV show, Let's Make a Deal, and wouldn't that be a neat concept to apply to a vacant unit for apartment marketing? As many of you might be thinking, "Huh?", let me explain. If you haven't watched Let's Make a Deal before, take a look at the video below, but the basic concept is that the show simply gives away prizes, but it is up to the contestant which prize they receive. A lot of times, there is a small prize or two and then a prize behind a giant curtain. As everybody knows, you can't just assume the best prize is behind the big curtain, so it's a game to determine which prize you should choose! So instead of a big curtain, why not use a vacant apartment as marketing? Why...

Have you ever gotten social anxiety, where your brain freezes up when trying to talk with others? Maybe not, since we are in an industry of highly social people! But outside our sometimes insane industry, many people struggle with public speaking, or even chatting with someone they don’t know. Either that, or sometimes they just need to polish up on their speaking skills in front of groups. July is “Freedom From Fear of Speaking Month”, which is a great opportunity to partner up outside the community, AND try to pull some of wallflower residents out of their shell! For this event, it isn’t directly geared towards your residents, although they will be encouraged to attend. Instead, reach out to your local Toastmasters group, which is a group designed to help with public speaking. Many interest groups that are not related to a school often have...

Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival
My inspiration comes from the Denver Chalk Art Festival. (http://www.denverchalkart.com) Contact your local High School and college art department. Have local businesses donate prizes for the contest. Have an area set up for the HS artists and another area for colleges artist. Set up a special area for the residents of your community~~especially a children’s area!! This will get folks to travel all over your property. Have residents volunteer to help as community ambassadors and show folks around. Find someone with a Hot Dog Cart that can go through out the community. In the club house have light refreshments for your guests. Call the newspaper and TV stations. Pictures and free air time is always a plus. Supply sidewalk chalk for the kids on your property. Give away chalk boards and chalk to prospects~~of course they will be customized to your...

The Renaissance Apartments would LOVE to host a pool party for our residents. This would definitely be great to fund it!

Help Those Tax Professionals Help Us!
Each year as tax season approaches we gather up a few supplies. Pens, pencils, notepads, post-it notes, etc...all with our community logo on them of course. We also put together some nice snack food items like 100 calorie snacks, power bars, candy, water etc... We begin visiting all the local Tax Offices in the area and take them these little survival kits and even deliver them pizza once a month, or a cookie bouquet or edible fruit arrangement. In exchange we ask that they display our community flyer on their desk along with our business cards sitting in front of them. We also share their information with our residents in our business center and move-in packets.
