Hula Hoops in the Deep End
An underwater hula hoop course is a great addition to your summer pool time events! What’s more, you can change up the hoops to make it more or less challenging for everyone. All ages and abilities should get a change to swim through your hula hoop obstacle course. Here’s a video showing underwater hula hoops in action: How to get your hula hoops underwater Image Source: Everyday Dishes To make a Hula hoop obstacle course, you’ll need several water proof weights such as rubberized dumbbells - 3 and 5 pounds weights work best. Next, take 2 - 3 feet of rope and attach the weight and hoop on either end of the...

Big Ball Bash!
Want an event that will make you feel like a kid again? We have the perfect idea! A giant beach ball event will make your community come alive with excitement. Getting ready! To get started with the event you’ll need a large open space or ground, a giant beach ball and some Knockerballs (optional). A giant ball is available from Amazon for $45.99. If you’re interested in Knockerballs, they can be easily rented all across the U.S. You can search for Knockerball rentals near you. Giant Ball Soccer Playing soccer with a life sized ball will be a different experience altogether! The goal of the game is for each team to score points by getting the ball to the goal post by whatever means...

Get Messy Party
What’s the goal? To get messy! At this event, residents will need to dress for mess! You won’t find any frilly party dresses here! Residents should be prepared to get wet and dirty. Be sure everyone’s wearing old clothes they don’t mind getting dirty. When we were kids it was fun to jump and slop around in the mud in the yard, though nowadays finding a safe space to play with abandon can be difficult. With this event, the aim is to make a fun - and safe - place for kids to dive into mess without parent’s nagging them to keep clean! This event also makes for great pictures too – so be sure to have a few camera’s on hand for capturing candid shots of kids getting wild! Shaving...

Mother’s Day Craft: Plaster of Paris Hand Impressions
With Mother’s Day just around the corner, a kid’s craft event will be the perfect highlight of your month! I think these plaster of Paris hand impressions will make perfectly sweet gifts. They’re also a keepsake the mothers in your community will cherish for years to come. Because this is a super simple craft, kids as young as one or two can easily participate. Just remember that parents will need to accompany small children and help them with the craft. Image source: http://babaknowsbest.blogspot.com/2013/05/weekend-fun-how-to-make-plaster-of-paris.html Crafting hand impressions Plaster of Paris can be purchased at most craft stores, or if you are adventurous, try making it yourself! The plaster of Paris should be mixed in disposable bowls (following the box instructions) in individual portions for every child. Heart-shaped or flower-shaped molds can be made from card...

Super High Energy Tic-Tac-Toe and Hula Hoop Relay Race
Looking for something unique to plan a community resident event this week? Try this frenzied activity involving an interesting mixture of hula hoops, a relay race, and tic-tac-toe. You heard me right! It’s quite a combination. While everyone has played tic-tac-toe at some point of their life, not many have played a real life tic-tac-toe using hula hoops! For this activity, hula hoops will be used in a non-traditional way to make up a tic-tac-toe board on the ground! For this event you’ll need: Two teams of energetic individuals, with 3 people in each team. 9 hula hoops, to make tic-tac-toe like spaces. Looking for something unique to plan a community resident event this week? Try this frenzied activity involving an interesting mixture of hula...
