Recreating Famous Works of Art
We are all looking for ways to engage with our residents when we can't meet in person, so this is a great way to have fun and build a sense of community! Majority of us are stuck at home during Coronavirus quarantine and can’t go out and enjoy art in museums on the streets or just out and about, that doesn’t mean that life has to be boring. Recently, the Getty Museum challenged people to recreate a work of art with objects that people already have in their home. We thought this would be a great idea for residents of apartment communities as well! Have your residents choose their favorite artwork and then try to recreate it at home! You can have them email you photos or post them on your community Facebook page! Feel free to make it your own and hold contests or specify...

Kids Bounce Balls
We saw these Bounce Balls with Handles for kids to bounce on and thought they would be great for a community event. You can purchase one for less than $10 on Amazon for the younger ones at your community. You can also purchase from Walmart  and several other online stores. At any event, you can add a Bounce Ball Race, a Bounce Ball arena, or just have an area designated for kids to bounce around on their own.

Personal Branding Workshop
Great personal branding separates the “haves” from the “have-nots.” Successful entrepreneurs and other professionals are masters at creating and maintaining their personal brands. In this new era of online business and social media, it takes more than just a great portfolio of work to make it big. Residents also need to build an engaged audience, offer expert opinions and advice, and use their connections to create a steady income. This personal branding workshop event is perfect for college-age communities, aspiring singers and models, and all those who aspire to be Instagram-influencer types. It’s also a great how-to event for anyone who is working on starting their own business, side hustle, or freelance job. About Building a Personal Brand ...

Best Use of Space in Apartment Contest
We wrote a few years back about having an Apartment Decorating Contest for your community residents. But with the current minimalist and KonMari craze, you can also have fun showcasing how residents are putting their organizing skills to good use at home! Besides submitting their stylized pictures of different rooms, residents can share up close and personal shots of their organized cabinets, cupboards, and closet spaces. This is a fantastic way to show off all the storage your units offer. It can also generate some high-quality and personalized images to use in your community’s marketing. Residents can submit their apartment decorating and design pictures of their styled apartments. But also let them write a brief description or essay about how they stay organized at home. Use these photos for your marketing materials. Just be sure to get...

Choose Your Own Learning Quarterly Challenge
This event will challenge residents to learn something new. Collect ideas of fun and silly skills from which residents can choose! The basic premise is to have a list of different skills that residents can choose from to learn to do something new. YouTube star Max Maher shows his lifelong learning mindset through example. Max regularly tries to learn new things. Sometimes in only a matter of a few hours! His trials include learning fun tricks like juggling, riding a unicycle, spinning a pen, knife throwing, or any other “practice makes perfect” skill that strikes his fancy. You can check out his channel for ideas of skills to suggest to your residents. Choosing a Community Challenge ...
