Community Socials
Celebrate Peace Book and Activity Hot
Our growing diversity and the close proximity of widely different cultures in many communities means it's important to learn how to be peaceful and tolerant of others’ beliefs.
At this community event for young children (and their parents), the theme is peace: peace between people, nations, and cultures.
Read The Peace Book
As the organizer and coordinator of the event, first read The Peace Book by Todd Parr to the gathered children and set the mood for the day's activities.

This collaborative brightly colored hands mural is a great way to help kids work together. Everyone can work independently to decorate their own handprints, and then assemble them together at the end.
It’s a great way to teach working together towards a common fun objective in a peaceful and collaborative way. It also makes a beautiful community mural to place in your rental office.
