How about a Margarita Mixer in honor of Cinco De Mayo? What a great time to let your hair down (or dance around your hat?) You could host this event inside your community center or outside in a park area if the weather is nice. Customize this party idea to your community and location. Remember, success in most community events depends on advertising, Post information on your community Facebook page, Put up a banner and get the word out!

If you really want to go all out, you could make this event an all day celebration. With music, dancing, chalk art, food, and drinks for the day time.  Then, once it gets closer to sunset, pull out the Margaritas for the adults.  And what would a Cinco De Mayo party be without a Mariachi Band?
