Build relationships and make your community more safe and secure by asking residents to watch out for each other! Supplies Sign-up sheet Detailed Description A community watch meeting can make both the residents and management happy and be very effective in preventing crime. For a special meeting, get the local police department to come out and do a safety day that features home, car, pool, personal and child safety. Use a sign-up sheet to encourage residents to join a community watch email group. Emails can be sent by community staff advising everyone of safety issues or concerns. Ask one person from...

During the month of December don't forget to participate in the decoration contest. Please stop by the office or on your resident portal for a list of the Do's and Don'ts. You can also grab a copy of your lease to find out your restrictions. The winner will receive a $50 gift card to a restaurant of their choice. Good luck!

Advertise for residents to bring 4 dozen of their favorite cookie to the clubhouse for the Exchange. Make sure to prepare some of your own. (Emphasize that the cookies must be homemade). When everyone arrives, divide the number of cookies by the number of people and let everyone pick cookies to take home. Everyone should leave with lots of different kinds of cookies. Tasting the cookies is definitely encouraged! This event gives people a lot to talk about - encourage exchanging recipes and talking by making some coffee for people to drink while they sample the cookies.

I have used places....it could be fun. I had a "charity deal" on it to donate to a pet food bank for anyone who checked in, but no one checked in during the time frame (it was only a couple of days as a test run). You can put limits on your "deals" and I think it will be a great way to cross market with some of your associates if you can get someone to give something of value to your current residents.I know you can use it for future residents pretty easily... you can offer a waived app fee for "checking in" and get a sign that indicates that is available. The more people check in, the more exposure your property gets because it shows up on their personal wall."Check in" and check it out.
