The Hunters Chase team brought the magic of Diwali from India to Miamisburg, Ohio. We had luminaries leading our residents to the party in the clubhouse. We have engaged all of residents to attend the festivities, sample Indian cuisine, and to learn the something about the Indian Culture. We asked our resident to join in a cooking contest to compete to win 1 of 3 great prizes. We feel it is important to learn and grow with our diverse community’s population.

The housing fair at Purdue University is well advertised and You will talk with so many students about future housing options. Each vendor is giving a table to set up and make memorable! We made a duck pond! Remember when you were younger, picking ducks at the fair! Well you pick a duck and they all have different prizes on the bottom. This was great and brought back happy memories and many new resident! We decorated our table with balloons (black & Gold for Purdue) candy and Freebies. We had so many people at our table I was worried we would run out of prizes. Some duck had free application fee, $200 off first months lease and so on!

This past year we had a Luau Pool party. We provided drinks, baked potato bar and a grill outside for residents to grill their own entree. We had the pool filled with beach balls; there were hula hoops and Frisbees everywhere. The Luau brought endless entertainment with all of the Miami Township emergency response teams and local venders that visited the community. Residents were out on the grounds playing with Frisbees, hula hoops, and having sack races. The Hunters Chase team and the residents all ended up in the pool having a beach ball fight by the end of the night. We can not wait for next years National Night Out.

When marketing to university students at a student housing community, you have to keep ideas fresh and creative. You need to "think outside the box" or for this event, "think outside the dunk tank!" Our property hosted a carnival party for our residents and their guests. We did this on a Thursday evening in a large empty parking lot near our leasing center. We had a food station where we offered cotton candy, snow cones, corn dogs, and beer for those residents that were of age. We had tons of carnival rides and games. There was a huge selection of inflatable rides for our residents to enjoy. These included a climbing wall and bungee run. We also had a mechanical bull and a bungee trampoline. The is event was a blast! Our residents enjoyed doing something new that most apartment communities do not do. ...
