When you have a resident event, make sure there is always some activity that goes along with the occasion. For example, instead of just having a “coffee at the clubhouse,” where you rely upon people to start conversations themselves, ramp it up by hiring a barista to come in, brew different types of coffees, and then explain what everybody should be tasting! Barista’s don’t make a ton of money, so having them come over for a couple of hours for $30-50 should be no problem. But make sure you find a barista that will not only serve the coffee, but really take the time to explain the differences. So it may make sense to spend $50 to get a more experienced barista to run the show. By having an external server, you can then sit at one of the tables,...

Pick a day to allow your residents to pull up to the clubhouse and "we'll top-off your windshield wiper fluid"
We were able to have local car wash/oil change places donate windshield wiper fluid. We also disturbuted their coupons to our residents!
Please drive carefully this winter and thank you for choosing us to call your home!

Please join the Cascade team in a Walk for Warmth, sponsored by Community Action Agency. We will be walking in Zeeland, MI as a group. Anybody who signs up for the walk will receive a pink heart scarf to wear during the walk and then keep as a thank you gift for participating in the event with us. We are asking for a $5.00 donation to contribute to the Community Action Agency, but if you are willing and able to donate more, I'm sure the Community Action House will more then appreciate your donation, in any amount. Please stop by the Cascade main office to sign up for the walk. We look forward to walking with you all. Lets make this winter a warm one for those less fortunate. Thank you!

Have a kids night full of Fun and let the parents have a couple of hours to go see a movie or go to dinner. Play games like the Hokie Pokie, Musical Chairs, Mother May I, Siom Says, Charades, and other old time goodies! Provide pizza and snacks and watch the fun erupt. The parents will be thankful and the kids will love the chance to meet new friends and play for awhile. Of course, with kids always provide prizes like movies, gift cards, toys etc. for the game winners. Local Merchants and Vendors are a great source for dontaions for these items.

They can draw a picture of "why they love living at ABC apartments". You then can either frame those photos and use them for a mini-model - put on easels in every room, call is the "Why our mini-resident love it here model". Or if you have them draw on 11 X 17 pieces of paper you can scan them and load into a calendar. One photo on each page with the child's name and age. Every parent gets 1 to post at their office (HELLO - FREE MARKETING) and you can sell them if they want more. Did this on Vista Print and for 20 calendar they ran about $8.50 per calendar. We did have...
