Because i have a senior community no one once to feel as if they have lost there independence therefore games such as rumnmy 500,spades,uno,bananza name that tune etc should be implemented to get a since of youth. we would have picnic tables along the side walks with games set up at each table and a winning jack pot for the first person who beats all the tables along with music, food, and an area for the pets to get groomed and walked. At the end of the event all residents would recieve a certificate of appreciation for being a resident at your community. Your jack pot can consist of a free shampoo of the whole apartment, gift card of any sort or whatever your budget allows for.

We handed out baskets for all the kids to use for the hunt and to take home with them. Some eggs had candy and others had a peice of paper with a number on it. After the hunt they brought the numbers to me and I matched it to the prize with the same number. The prizes were small stuffed animals and creative tools such as crayons, colored pencils, chalk. The kids and parents were very excited to see what prize their number would claim. That part was as exciting as the agg hunt! It's been wonderful watching the kids play with the toys they won at the easter egg hunt. The best part is that I did it all underbudget- yay!

I started at Lexington Ridge Apartments in 2006 and every year in December I put together "Breakfast With Santa". The first year I had 50 Residents show up. The number increases every year and last year we had over 120! We have a HOT Breakfast set up for Residents to walk through buffet style. We switch up the menu every year but usually have pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy with assorted other items. We have done cookies with hot chocolate and/or hot apple cider as a side just in case someone doesn't want breakfast. Santa and Mrs. Claus wander around the clubhouse and greet the residents, ask the kids what they want for Christmas. They sit down at their chairs by the fireplace and Christmas Tree for Pictures. It is a huge success and we have had nothing but good things said about us for it! We...

American Idol is coming to an end, and everyone is excitited about who is going to win. I think it would be great to host a "Resident Idol" Party, where resident could come down and watch the show in the club house. After the show is done, the resident would sing Karioke and the residents would call in to place their votes for the best performance. The winner with the most votes, would win a $20 gift card The office should be decorated and there should a place dressed up like a stage. I think small refreshments would be great after the resident have finished with their acts.

As the manager of a homeowner's association it is often difficult to get attendance at our annual membership meetings. This year the Developer of the community offered in conjunction with the Annual meeting a landscape/lawn maintenance seminar with several vendors that perform these duties for the common areas providing general tips and information on taking care of the lawns. We also had raffles which included prizes of monthly landscape maintenance, Home Depot gift card and yearly fertilization/bug treatments for the lawns. We had the best turnout yet in fact we had more owners show up for this meeting than we do for communities that are triple
