Pretty Pysanky Easter Egg Decorating Party
Have you ever used a white wax crayon while coloring eggs for Easter? I have! It’s a fantastic wax-resist technique that helps you achieve fine lines and interesting color and pattern combinations. Well, there is a similar egg decorating technique from the Ukraine that takes it one step further! One of the most fun things to do in the spring holiday season is decorating Easter eggs. There are a million and one ways to decorate an egg, but this event is geared towards a very detailed batik-esque technique called pysanky. What Is Pysanky? Batik and pysanky are both dying techniques where a series of dyes and wax resists are applied to the surface of an object (either fabric or the shell of an egg) to control how the dye is absorbed onto the surface. ...

Easter Egg Hunt
We know that Easter egg hunts are a favorite activity for many kids and adults during the Easter holiday. This year I found a great Easter egg hunt idea. To have one special “Easter Bunny” egg with a prize in it. To make this egg, you will need a plastic Easter egg, 2 medium white pompoms, 1 small pink pompom, 2 googly eyes, pink craft foam, glue, and scissors. Cut out two large bunny ears from the craft foam. Glue it to the top of the Easter egg, about one inch apart. Then, glue on the eyes below the bunny’s ears. Next, glue the pink pompom below the eyes in the middle of the egg. Then, glue the white pompoms below the pink one to form the bunny’s chubby cheeks. Fill the egg with a special candy or prize for the lucky kid who finds it! ...

Think of the special for that month. Divide it into different amounts, written on small pieces of paper. Then put them in plastic Easter eggs & hide them all over your mini model or model. Tell the prospect about the game and what they find only during the tour will be the special for their move in. This way you can time your tours, and not have to give the whole special amount. Great for the prospect and for the budget! Everybody wins!

Spring Brunch
This is done in March or April around Easter, and plays on a theme of Easter Eggs. Set up 2 long tables in the clubhouse. Decorate with pastel table coverings and spring colored napkins. Napkins and plates can be placed in a large Easter Basket from the Dollar Store. On the first table, set out the paper goods and plastic ware, and your main dishes (two extra large egg casseroles). On the second table, set out your side dishes (fresh fruit, yogurt with granola, and a large dispenser of juice or punch). Have smaller Easter Baskets placed around the clubhouse willed with candy for the kids. Hide Easter Eggs in a safe common area outside so the kids can have a short egg hunt following the brunch. Make sure you know if your company will allow you to say "Easter"...

Last Minute Easter Egg Event Idea!
This is an activity you could do with the kids of the community, and is really easy to do! You first need to ask your residents to bring an old silk tie in, if they have one. Make sure to go to a thrift store beforehand to find some cheap ones for those that don’t have a silk tie to use. Cut the silk into pieces that can wrap all the way around an egg, so that the pattern is facing the egg, and wrap string around the egg. (Note, I’ve seen some places that recommend wrapping the egg in white cotton fabric, like an old pillow case around the string, but I’m not sure if that is necessary.) Next, boil the eggs in water and ¼ cup white vinegar for 20 minutes. Let them cool and enjoy your...
