We ran across this event a while back and thought it was a great idea! Throwing away critical documents that have account numbers is not a good idea, so having an occasional “shred” day is a good way to offer a service and in this case, raise money for a local cause.
"Join us This Saturday April 14, 2012 from 10AM-1PM for our Community Shred Day! Come and witness your private documents being destroyed for $5.00 per standard size (1.2cf) file box. A percentage of all the days’ proceeds will be made on behalf of the Pine Mill Ranch Swim Team. Since this is the startup year for the Swim Team we are in desperate need of your support.
